2016 ONLINE APPLICATION

The JHU Summer Programs Online Application is now closed to new applicants. We will begin accepting applications for 2017 sessions this Fall.

IMPORTANT DATES

Financial Aid Deadline: March 15

International Applicants : Once accepted into the program, international students requiring an F-1 Visa will receive an email titled "Request for Information: Summer Programs at Johns Hopkins- Request for I-20." Students should follow "instructions" (link) for completing an I-20 request.

MINI-TERM APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Application Materials

- A submitted online application, with payment of the nonrefundable application fee of $75.
- Upon acceptance, a non-refundable tuition deposit of: $500 for commuting students, $1,250 for residential students.
- A writing sample.
- Official high school transcript, including fall 2016 grades.
- Two completed recommendations: one from a Teacher; one from a Principal or Guidance Counselor. Once inside the application, you will use the recommendation manager to send requests.
- Residential Mini-Term Student Application Deadline: April 4, 2017- We will continue to accept and review new and completed applications after this date as our residential space allows.  

SUMMER UNIVERSITY APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

Application materials

- A submitted online application, with payment of the nonrefundable application fee of $75.
- Upon acceptance, a non-refundable tuition deposit of: $500 for commuting students, $2,500 for residential students.
- A writing sample.
- Official high school transcript, including fall 2016 grades.
- Most recent standardized test scores (PSAT, SAT, or ACT).
- Two completed recommendations: one from a Teacher; one from a Principal or Guidance Counselor. Once inside the application, you'll use the Recommendation Manager to send requests.

Residential Student Application Deadline: April 4--We will continue to accept and review new and completed applications after this date as our residential space allows.

Commuter Student Application Deadline: May 22 for Term I; June 26 for Term II.

DISCOVER HOPKINS APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

Application materials

- A submitted online application, with payment of the nonrefundable application fee of $75.
- Upon acceptance, a non-refundable tuition deposit of: $500 for commuting students, $1,250 for residential students.
- A writing sample.
- Official high school transcript, including Fall 2016 grades.
- A completed Teacher Recommendation. Once inside the application, you'll use the Recommendation Manager to send a request.
- Parent/Guardian Approval Form.

 

VISITING UNDERGRADUATE APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

Application materials:

- A submitted online application (no application fee)
- Official college transcript, including fall 2016 grades.
- Upon acceptance, a non-refundable tuition deposit of $500

PRE-CERTIFIED APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

Students who have attended pre-college in the past, students who are incoming JHU freshmen, or students who have been admitted to Hopkins in the past, are pre-certified.

- A submitted online application. Please call 410-516-4548 or email summer@jhu.edu to receive your application fee waiver.
- Official transcript, including fall 2016 grades.
- Parent/Guardian Approval Form.

Congratulations! In your letter of acceptance you should have received an Admission Decision form. Please submit the Admission Decision form to our office as soon as possible in order to secure your slot.

Courses fill on a first come first served basis. If you need another copy of the Admission Decision form contact us at summer@jhu.edu and we will email it to you directly.
