Here we have compiled recommendations on what you may want to have on-hand in order to more fully enjoy your stay in the residence halls at Homewood campus.

Required Items

  • Your ID
  • Your Medical Insurance Card
  • A pillow and lightweight blanket are provided to all students. All students will need to bring their own bed sheets for a Twin XL mattress (38 x 80 inches), a pillowcase, bath towels, and washcloths.

Clothing

  • Light, casual, hot-weather clothing
  • Good walking/hiking shoes (more than “flip-flops”) for field trips
  • Light summer rain gear and umbrella, for those late afternoon thundershowers
  • Light sweater or fleece for those well-air-conditioned classrooms
  • Long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and closed-toe shoes for lab days

Household Items and Personal Hygiene

  • Shower shoes and necessary toiletries
  • Laundry bag and laundry detergent/laundry pods
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug Spray
  • Hangers
  • Face Masks (N95 masks, KN95 masks, KF94 masks, or the combination of a cloth mask with a surgical mask are the most effective types of face coverings)
  • Hand Sanitizer

Study Supplies

  • Notebooks
  • Pens and Pencils

Technology

  • Mobile phone with charger
  • Laptop computer with charger
  • Headphones
  • Solid-state memory flash drive

Money

Students may need additional money for snacks, laundry, postcards, souvenirs, and any activities that are not part of the program.

Sporting Gear

  • Frisbee or other sports equipment
  • Athletic gear and a combination lock, if you are planning to use the Recreation Center.
