On-Campus Housing Adjustments
This form is designed to help you easily request a shift in where you would like to attend courses from this summer. This shift may necessitate an on-campus housing adjustment. For example, you could use this form to indicate a desire to change from being a commuter student to living on-campus in a residence hall.
These requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and approval depends on space availability, program eligibility, and the timing of your request.
You may find these student categories helpful:
- A Resident Student lives on-campus in the JHU Residence Hall.
- A Commuter Student lives off-campus in personally arranged non-university-owned housing and commuting to campus for coursework.
- An Online Student lives off-campus in personally arranged non-university-owned housing and is enrolled 100% online, completing all coursework over the Internet.
Please complete all fields accurately. Once submitted, a member of the Summer at Hopkins team will review your request and contact you with next steps or additional information. Changes to online courses should be requested via the Add/Drop form.
Refund Reminder
The refund deadline for Summer 2026 is April 24. Students who deposit after April 17 have one calendar week from their deposit date to update their housing status and remain eligible for a refund.
After this period, students who change from Resident to Commuter are not guaranteed a refund of the residential fee and must submit the Student Charges and Refund Appeals Request Form for consideration.
