At Johns Hopkins, Xuanxi Yang serves as Operations Administrator for the Summer and Intersession programs. Yang’s passion for summer programs emerged following her work in New York’s Adirondack Mountains where she built a successful conservation-themed summer program. Prior to joining the Hopkins team, she ran an education consulting service, providing navigational assistance to students in China who were seeking global educational opportunities. Yang hails from Yunnan, China’s most southwestern province, nestled against the borders of Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam. She earned her BA in Japanese Language and Literature from Capital Normal University in Beijing and completed an International Communication Certificate from Nagasaki University of Foreign Studies in Japan. She earned an MS in Marketing from Johns Hopkins University’s Carey Business School. She and her family, including two dogs and two cats, now reside in Baltimore, Maryland.
