For example, the development of new drugs involves chemical analysis and synthesis of new compounds. Chemistry also plays a vital role in the development and growth of several consumer-based industries such as pigments and paints, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and oil and natural gas. In this program, you will focus on the applications of chemistry in medicine and pharmaceutical sciences.
This self-paced program is primarily delivered asynchronously; however, your instructor may schedule live interactions as well. Please refer to your syllabus for these opportunities and for your important program deadlines.
Prerequisite: Background in Chemistry and Biology is strongly recommended.
